Snowfall in London, Record cold in Florida, and an MIT study all punch holes in AGW

It's a rough week for proponents of the anthropogenic global warming theory. Check out some of the headlines:

MIT scientists baffled by global warming theory, contradicts scientific data

Boston (MA) - Scientists at MIT have recorded a nearly simultaneous world-wide increase in methane levels. This is the first increase in ten years, and what baffles science is that this data contradicts theories stating man is the primary source of increase for this greenhouse gas. It takes about one full year for gases generated in the highly industrial northern hemisphere to cycle through and reach the southern hemisphere. However, since all worldwide levels rose simultaneously throughout the same year, it is now believed this may be part of a natural cycle in mother nature - and not the direct result of man's contributions.

This finding confirms what AGW skeptics have been saying for years, that the net effect of human activity on atmosphere is negligible compared to the effects of natural phenomena. The green crowd should be turning red right about now- this is just embarassing! And it gets worse...

Snow blankets London for Global Warming debate

Snow fell as the House of Commons debated Global Warming yesterday - the first October fall in the metropolis since 1922. The Mother of Parliaments was discussing the Mother of All Bills for the last time, in a marathon six hour session.

In order to combat a projected two degree centigrade rise in global temperature, the Climate Change Bill pledges the UK to reduce its carbon dioxide emissions by 80 per cent by 2050. The bill was receiving a third reading, which means both the last chance for both democratic scrutiny and consent.

Isn't it ironic? "It's like Ra-a-yain... on your wedding day!" ...or unseasonably cold weather and snow while you're passing legislation to combat global warming. And England is not the only place experiencing this:

The Swiss are also getting a taste of it: Record snow storm triggers delays

According to MeteoNews, the Swiss lowlands received the most snow for any October since records began in 1931. Zurich received 20cm, beating a record of 14cm set in 1939.

Americans (in Florida) too: Record cold swept over the region Wednesday

Though there was a reading of freezing or below throughout northwest Marion County, Wednesday morning's official low temperature was 33 degrees.

It was a record for Oct. 29 and the second lowest temperature ever recorded in October since 1850. Ocala's official weather site is at the city water treatment plant on Southeast 24th Street.

Bust out the sunblock, folks! Global warming is here to stay!

FYI, Global Warming is an antiquated term long ago replaced by Climate Change in order to more accurately represent the projected effects on climate - some leading experts refer to the phenomenon as "Global Weather Weirding" in order to capture the shifts in weather patterns that are expected. Global Warming as a term has denoted an average increase in temperature as opposed to a uniform temperature rise globally, largely stressing the extreme weather events potential and change in the amount of precipitation (for example NYC in November in the 70s and Florida in January in the 30s as we've seen in the last couple of months) - hence the change in terminology as those less familiar with the term erroniously drew conclusions that it implied a uniform, steady and perceptible rise in temperatures globally.
