H1N1 "Swine Flu" Just Information, No Hype

This is the clearest, simplest, most informative article I've read on H1N1 "swine flu."

In the media, all you hear is swine flu hysteria that makes you feel like the world is ending, but without any real information about it.

This article from the Vanderbilt Medical Center Reporter actually gives you the straight, unemotional data:

Typical swine flu symptoms, what it is, why it's different from other strains of flu, who it affects, and where it came from.

Above all, the article starts and ends with four words that you don't see in the typical mainstream media coverage of swine flu:

"Be prepared. Not scared."

"Be prepared, not scared"

A noble idea indeed, imgaine if we applied this axiom to every issue we face?

I had it... it wasn't bad. No worse than regular run of the mill influenza.

Rebel- but if we don't need someone to rescue us from a new crisis every day, how will the government ever grow more powerful?

Steve- Yup. In a lot of cases you are correct. There are some reasons why this is different and possibly a little worse than other strains of flu, but not earth-shatteringly, apocalyptically worse.
