In case the editorial I published on Sunday didn't make it clear enough... I am opposed to "Earth Hour" and I was shocked and discouraged that such an event took place. Perhaps the image above summarizes more succinctly and poignantly, the case I made that "Earth Hour's" aims are destructive to human freedom and flourishing.
The battle lines were drawn at 8:30 pm local time on Saturday, and the "Earth Hour" demonstrators were proud to side with North Korea. Such an admission should sound the death knell for the environmental movement as we know it today, but has likely rallied more to their cause, a damning indictment of our age.
If you want to see the difference between freedom and tyranny, prosperity and poverty, flourishing and misery, good and evil- look no further than the Korean peninsula and behold the stark contrast between the light and darkness.
