A Libertarian Happy New Year!

A group of my very good childhood friends and I meet every year for a period of time to relax, enjoy each others company, and reflect on our past year apart (we all live in different parts of the U.S.), a tradition we have kept since 2002 when we were all 16 years of age or younger. It's a great blessing to have such good friends, and yes- they're radically libertarian like me.

Last night we rang in the New Year like a libertarian should, with Samuel Adams beer and Jefferson's whiskey:

Here's a New Year's roundup:

The Mises Institute has a table of price changes over the last ten years. Phil Bronstein writes that we had better keep our New Year's resolutions to lose weight because of those really intrusive full body scanners popping up in airports.

Obama wishes you a Happy New Year. If you're hungover, you can try some New Year's day, post-hangover yoga with teacher, Tara Stiles. The American Thinker predicts that 2010 will be worse than 2009, and Reason's staffers pick the best and worst things of the last decade.

  1. I hope you have a healthy and Prosperous Happy New Year in 2010!!

Sam Adams beer is some good stuff.

  2. MMMM Sam Adams. I just wish they still made the Scotch Ale.

    Happy New Year.

BTW I gave you a shout out in my FMJRA today
