Libertarian Campaign Ad Features Gun

Whoa. A recent campaign ad by Nashville Libertarian candidate for State House, Daniel Lewis features the candidate holding a very large gun:

While I have shot plenty of guns in my life, I am in all honesty, not a huge gun enthusiast and don't have a clue what kind of gun Mr. Lewis is holding, but I have a strong feeling that Attorney General Eric Holder really wants to take it away. As a liberty enthusiast, I certainly hope that doesn't happen.

  1. I don't know about others, but I cannot see the said photo with said gun...which btw, I am a gun enthusiast and a liberty enthusiast. :)

  2. Thanks for posting that fascinating video. You sound like an interesting guy, a Libertarian who is not a gun nut. I guess I've been hanging around with the wrong kind of Libertarians or the wrong kind of gun nuts.

  3. Aziza- it's a YouTube video. Must not be displaying properly in your browser.

    Richard- thanks!

mike- Thanks for commenting. Stick around and you'll find quite an interesting brand of libertarianism at this site. While I don't own any guns myself, like Lewis, I believe in your right to own them.

  4. Well it is nice to see that in my 12 years around the liberty movement, Libertarian candidates still do not understand how to craft a message.

This reminds me of the time that the Libertarian candidate for Senate in Indiana was facing off against Inc. Sen. Dick Lugar and showed up to his child's day care with a 357 magnum hanging off his side and then news showed up and he unholstered the gun, when asked what type of gun it was by the reporter.

God love them anyway. Subtlety FTW

  5. Lol. Yes the LP has a lot of work to do before it starts winning elections.
