Need help Wes. I am looking for a video I saw, I think on Glenn Beck, of people stating the economy was going to collapse and those on the left lauding how strong the economy was. If you know where it is I'd appreciate getting it and am sure it would amuse those here too to see it.

EYE OPENER, STAY WITH ME ON THIS ONE!

Joe Legal vs. Jose Illegal

Here is an example of why hiring an illegal alien is not economically productive for the State of California ...OR ANY OTHER STATE

You have 2 families..."Joe Legal" and "Jose Illegal". Both families have 2 parents, 2 children and live in California. (Same applies to any State)

"Joe Legal" works in construction, has a Social Security Number, and makes $25.00 per hour with payroll taxes deducted....

"Jose Illegal" also works in construction, has "NO" Social Security Number, and gets paid $15.00 cash "under the table".

Joe Legal...$25.00 per hour x 40 hours $1000.00 per week, $52,000 per year now take 30% away for state federal tax Joe Legal now has $31,231.00

Jose Illegal...$15.00 per hour x 40 hours $600.00 per week, $31,200.00 per year Jose Illegal pays no taxes... Jose Illegal now has $31,200.00

Joe Legal pays Medical and Dental Insurance with limited coverage $1000.00 per month $12,000.00 per year Joe Legal now has $19,231.00

Jose Illegal has full Medical and Dental coverage through the state and local clinics at a cost of $0.00 per year Jose Illegal still has $31,200.00

Joe Legal makes too much money is not eligible for Food Stamps or Welfare Joe Legal pays for food $1,000.00 per month $12,000.00 per year Joe Legal now has $ 7,231.00

Jose Illegal has no documented income and is eligible for Food Stamps and Welfare Jose Illegal still has $31,200.00

Joe Legal pays rent of $1,000.00 per month $12,000.00 per year Joe Legal is now in the hole... minus (-) $4,769.00

Jose Illegal receives a $500 per month Federal Rent Subsidy Jose Illegal pays rent $500.00 per month $6,000.00 per year

Jose Illegal still has $31,200.00 plus, since illegals tend to cram multiple families into single-family dwellings, he is actually making more money as the rent is shared.

Joe Legal now works overtime on Saturdays or gets a part time job after work.

Jose Illegal has nights and weekends off to enjoy with his family.

Joe Legal's and Jose Illegal's children both attend the same school.

Joe Legal pays for his children's lunches while Jose Illegal's children get a government sponsored lunch. And where does the government get the money from - Joe Legal who pays his taxes.

Jose Illegal's children have an after school ESL program. Joe Legal's children go home.

Joe Legal and Jose Illegal both enjoy the same Police and Fire Services, but Joe paid for them and Jose did not pay.

Don't vote for or support any politician that supports illegal aliens... Its PAST time to take a stand for America and Americans!

A Pastor with GUTS!

Thought you might enjoy this interesting prayer given in Kansas at the opening session
of their Senate. It seems prayer still upsets some people. When Minister Joe Wright
was asked to open the new session of the Kansas Senate, everyone was expecting
the usual generalities, but this is what they heard:

Heavenly Father, we come before you today to ask your forgiveness and to seek
your direction and guidance. We know Your Word says, 'Woe to those who call evil
good,' but that is exactly what we have done.

We have lost our spiritual equilibrium and reversed our values.
We have exploited the poor and called it the lottery.
We have rewarded laziness and called it welfare..
We have killed our unborn and called it pro choice.
We have shot abortionists and called it justifiable.
We have neglected to discipline our children and called it building self esteem....
We have abused power and called it politics.
We have coveted our neighbor's possessions and called it ambition.
We have polluted the air with profanity and pornography and called it freedom of
expression.
We have ridiculed the time-honored values of our forefathers and called it
enlightenment. Search us, Oh, God, and know our hearts today; cleanse us from
every sin and set us free. Amen!

The response was immediate. A number of legislators walked out during the prayer
in protest. In 6 short weeks, Central Christian Church, where Rev. Wright is pastor,
logged more than 5,000 phone calls with only 47 of those calls responding negatively.
The church is now receiving international requests for copies of this prayer from India,
Africa and Korea.

Commentator Paul Harvey aired this prayer on his radio program, 'The Rest of the
Story,'and received a larger response to this program than any other he has ever
aired.

With the Lord's help, may this prayer sweep over our nation and wholeheartedly
become our desire so that we again can be called 'one nation under God.'
If possible, please pass this prayer on to your friends.. 'If you don't stand for
something, you will fall for everything.'

Think about this: If you forward this prayer to everyone on your e-mail list, in less
than 30 days it would be heard by the world. How many people in your address book
will not receive this prayer.....do you have the guts to pass it on?

Sie- YouTube "Peter Schiff was right" and you'll find what you're looking for (sadly conservative commentators like Ben Stein and Arthur Laffer were also among the voices that doubted the wisdom of Austrian economics and its accurate prediction of an imminent housing crash, credit crunch, and recession).

Anonymous- if you're going to copy and paste long chain e-mails into the comments, please at least keep them somewhat on topic. The problem you point out with immigration is not a problem with immigration after all- it's a problem with the welfare state. I agree that non-citizens should get government handouts, but I frankly think that citizens shouldn't either. There just shouldn't be any government handouts.

As for this country's relationship to God- a country can't have a relationship to God, only individuals can, and (speaking as a Christian myself) I would much prefer that this country started trying to have a relationship with its Constitution and leave God to the private decisions of individuals.
