John Boehner's Impassioned Speech On The House Floor: "Hell No You Can't!"

If only Republicans would act this way all the time, especially when they are in power. My hat goes off to you, Republican Party, for holding your ground on this most crucial of issues.

I must say though, that you didn't have enough votes to block the Federal health care takeover because you lost your credibility over the last several years of voting for Federal expansion into other areas of our lives (including health care).

You didn't lose this battle yesterday- you lost it over several years of behaving differently than you did last night. Learn the lesson. Fight for freedom. When you gain control of the House this Fall, be the party of limited government that you say you are.

Don't forget how you felt and how you acted on March 21, 2010. That is the Republican Party I would like to see over the next decade.

I think you have unreasonable expectations of the Republican Party. Freedom and independence today begins with freedom and independence from the Democratic and Republican Parties.

  2. We'll see. I hope to goodness that the Republicans are capable of good, because they may be our last shot at this.

  3. Don't kid yourself. Boehner is a typical scumbag politician and will be as bad as Pelosi as speaker of the house. Looking into the origins of the Republican party (beyond high school history books) was a real eye opener for me. There is a "libertarian" wing of the Republican party that I support, but the rest are every bit as progressive as the Dems.

  4. Let's see if that libertarian Ron Paul, Barry Goldwater wing of the Party can't steer it in the right direction.

  5. I think that the Republicans have started to learn their lesson. A few like Jim DeMint never caved into the big government philosophy(bailouts and excessive spending not related to the war). I was cheering Boehner on while sitting on my couch. The Republicans just need to keep on this path and not let the American people down again.

  6. I sure hope they have and I sure hope they do! One of the best things we can do to make sure that happens is VOTE in our GOP primaries and campaign for the true patriots over the RINOs in these primaries.
