Thanks for the shout-out, Wes. I get a lot of great leads for topics to include in my songs from libertarian sites like yours and Radley Balko's, so I thank you for both your past and future work in the name of freedom - both musical and otherwise.
No problem, Eric! You've got mad skills, I believe that you're not thinking big enough- that you could do even bigger things with your talent than News in Song... like write a top ten hit ballad that emotionally blows people out of the water as they consider what's going on in the world... or something. I don't even know!
Ooh, I like that thought. I'll have to work on that...
I love the creative and humorous "edutainment" that characterized that recent Hayek vs. Keynes Rap, "Fear the Boom and Bust," and I think that kind of work is valuable to our movement... but I think deeply poignant, fine artwork is even more important, and it's something we lack desperately. The Fabians, fascists, and other socialist "progressives" have monopolized it for too long. Listen to Rage Against the Machine. They move me and I sympathize with many of their grievances and causes. But their ultimate solution is Marxism.
