John Gardner pleads guilty to murdering Chelsea King, Amber Dubois

From the most recent article at my CAIVN column:

John Gardner- who shocked the nation this March when he was arrested for the rape and murder of 17 year old Chelsea King- pleaded guilty Friday for the murders of Chelsea King and Amber Dubois.

  1. :( I'm glad he is being put away. I wish the court systems had prevented it from when he was convicted in 2000. Poor Chelsea and Amber.

  2. Right. I'm not a fan of mandatory sentencing or "getting tough on crime" in general, with no attention to the specific details of a case, but in this case it seemed pretty clear that Gardner needed to stay in prison longer.

  3. My mind wants to put horns on his head so that he appears evil but he looks like a normal guy I could sit down and have a beer with. That's kinda scary.

  4. Isn't it though? All kinds of evils are wrought by the hands of normal-looking people. Sad.
