I'm a pretty regular follower of your site. It's really great work. I just wanted to let you know that I live in Iowa and I volunteer time for the RP campaign. I am so happy with the recent polling success. The people who help are all good people and very devoted, and the success in the polls help validate their work. If I had to make a prediction... I would say Ron Paul will dominate the Iowa caucus. To be honest most Iowans don't like the caucus. The format of it is complicated and takes a long time and doesn't count towards primary totals. As such, the "average" voter doesn't bother. But, as you and I both know, Ron Paul followers aren't average. There are many RP supporters who normally do not get overly involved in politics who recognize how badly the country needs him.
In short, I think Ron Paul supporters are more willing to put in the effort than cain or romney or newt supporters and that's what the Iowa caucus is all about. I think we will see record #'s of caucus goers and they'll all be Liberty Loving Paulites.
I am no political expert and I might be wrong, but I hope I'm not. I also think there is a large portion of fringe paulites who don't look at him seriously thinking "he can't be elected". I think these fringe numbers will jump on the band wagon very quickly now that paul is in the top of the polls.
Keep spreading the good word and hopefully this poll is the first of a snow ball of Ron Paul support.
Eric, I am so glad you wrote in to share this! Thank you so much for all your hard work in Iowa. Readers, keep your eyes on Iowa!
