Los Angeles wants to end free speech

Free speech is absolutely essential for liberty, even if it's vile or insulting.
The Los Angeles City Council passed a resolution on Tuesday calling for radio shows to put an end to "racist" and sexist language. The resolution passed by a 13-2 vote John Kobylt and Ken Chiampou, hosts of The John and Ken show created a stir by referring to deceased singer Whitney Houston as a “crack-ho.” The comment was an obscene departure from class; however, it is controversial speech like this that many believe most needs protection. The L.A. city council disagree and have passed a symbolic bill condemning “racist” and “sexist” speech on Los Angeles airwaves.
