Supreme Court upholds jail strip searches — even for minor offenses

Very bad news. The police can now strip search anybody arrested on any charge. You better believe that the humiliation factor will explode as the police delight in their new and invasive strip search powers.  Forget the Bill of Rights, it's been nullified and we are now moving on to the Dr. Strangeglove system of governance as the police poke and probe every bodily orifice for no reason except to satiate their own perverse pleasures.
The Supreme Court ruled Monday that those arrested for even minor violations may be strip-searched before being admitted to jail, saying safety concerns outweigh personal privacy rights. The court’s conservatives ruled against a New Jersey man who was strip-searched after being mistakenly arrested on an outstanding warrant.
