House GOP Kills Proposal to Block Indefinite Detention of US Citizens

The Smith-Amash Amendment to NDAA failed 182-238. The right of the government to indefinitely detain and torture American citizens was approved by the House of Representatives, despite a recent federal court ruling that NDAA's indefinite detention provision was unconstitutional.
At least it's on the record: Most House Republicans support the indefinite detention without trial of American citizens.
